If you have been keeping up with the series all because of the little squirrel and his love for chasing acorns that get’s him into some pretty insane scenarios then this movie will not disappoint. Here they cut straight to the chase and try to survive extinction like always and focus on the comedy. The movie had me and the whole theater laughing from beginning to end, because it was so relatable. Manny’s daughter Peaches is planning on getting married to Julian voiced by a funny character from the funny t.v. show Modern family Adam DeVine who tries to impress his future father-in-law Manny. And I don’t know what it is about funny yoga instructors being the new thing in almost every animated film this year, but this movie is no different. Shangri Llama the funny yoga guru is played by another Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson who is the perfect guy for the job. This movie lacked no drama or comedy, it was a homerun. And who doesn’t love Sid’s hilarious grandma voiced by comedian Wanda Sykes. This movie was all over the place and full of laughs. At long last! Sid the last bachelor of the herd gets to finally find love as well! No guy in the herd is single now except the crazy brothers crash and Eddie. When you think you know how things are going to go down, it actually surprises you so if you think you will be bored watching this movie, you won’t. If you pay close attention, there are so many good morals of the story to teach your kids and family after movie night. It was so awesome to see the herd grow from a mammoth, Saber toothed Tiger and a sloth, the family just continues to add new members to the herd! It reminded me so much of real life, we grow up from kids then get married and find new additions to the family who are not even related to us by race, beliefs or blood. And any great family sees past all the differences and accepts you no matter what and this movie was true to the family theme. It gets a 9 out of 10 stars because there was so much room for building Sid’s new romance and Shira and Diego’s relationship. It’s a great movie to watch for tons of laughs so go join the herd with Ice age collision course. This review was brought to you by Fairytail Pirates, where everything is Fairy Tales.
